I love LOVE distressed newsprint. One time my contemporary-dance teacher (5th grade) created an improvisational piece involving newspapers (and black and white costumes/makeup). The music was (at least in part), Peggy Lee’s “Is that all there is?”. ”Did anyone notice?” one of the older girls said after the show, ”I ripped up a picture of [famous NHL Canucks goalie Richard] Brodeur!!!”
